Michael Cera Explained

February 25, 2010

Hollywood LOVES formula.  This graphic breaks down the magic mixture that makes a Michael Cera movie.  It’s eerily accurate.

Do his movies still make money, despite the obvious formula?  (Or should we say, blatant type casting?) Oh yes!  According to The Numbers, the Micheal Cera formula has grossed $597,889,940 worldwide since he played Gordy Jr. in the movie Frequency.  That doesn’t count the grosses from Extreme Movie, a 2008 movie released as a limited engagement.

Oh wait… they forgot one thing.

CASH THE CHECK!

The only reason I didn’t go see Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is because he was in it. It looked like a cool flick too. But I’m tired of his one note characters. I don’t see the character at all. I see Michael Cera.
